Mosfet gets into hi-end UPS market

Tirunelveli-based Mosfet Power Systems Pvt Ltd, a leading
power solution provider in Tamil Nadu and key reseller for Compact Systems, is
training its eyes on the high end market. The company has recently got into
vertical approach in business and mainly focusing on the SMB market for growth.
“This year, we would close our books with a turnover of Rs 1 crore. And, in
the next fiscal, we are targeting at least 50 percent growth, with vertical
focus and SMB initiative gaining mome­ntum,” said MV Shankar, MD, Mosfet
Power Systems. The company offers only Compact range of products and it is only
into power solutions in business.

“No vendor (APC, Nume­ric, Emerson, WeP Periphe­rals
etc) could achieve the numbers what we do in business. Every month we sell more
than 300 units of entry-level 600VA UPS from Compact in Tirunelveli territory,
which is way ahead of the other brands in the market. Now, we are moving into
hi-end market with Compact,” quipped Shankar.

IT,
ITeS, hospitality, health­care, government, education
and research, among others, are the key verticals identified by Mosfet and the
company is building expertise in these areas. “We would depend largely on SMBs
for growth here and already making inroads into the market. Till last year, the
entry-level and hi-end products contribution to the total turnover was in the
ratio of 60:40, which is now changing into 50:50 this year. We want to take the
hi-end products contribution up to 70 percent in the next couple of years,”
remarked Shankar. “We will take head on Numeric in the hi-end space since
other brands are not holding much market share here.”

Started in 1996, Mos­fet is associated only with Compact
till date and only into power condit­ioning solution in business. Being a key
channel partner for Compact, the company handles regions such as Tirunelveli,
Virudhunagar, Tuticorin, Kanyakumari and whole of south Kerala. “We have 66
resellers in the region who are buying product from us and our strong channel
policy keeps the network intact, thus paving the way for success every year,”
he claimed.

Mosfet has won best south India distributor award from
Compact for the last six years, in a row.
