Mohit Electronics gets facelift

As the IT heat rages in Kolkata with new range of products and stores coming
up every day, old faces in the city have started losing their hold over the IT
and mobile retail chains. Discounts and offers are a thing of the past and, the
customers today want quality and service above all. To keep pace with the
changing times, Mohit Electronics has undergone a renovation recently, as the
store has been given a new look and a brand new identity.

The store was set-up in 1994 with a wide range of electronic products in its
portfolio. Gradually, it developed into a leading computer peripheral retail
outlet as the customer demands and preferences changed. "I thought of
restructuring the entire model of the showroom, as the customer now wants a good
and spacious environment before he buys a product," said Pawan Jajodia,
Proprietor, Mohit Electronics and President, Compass.

"It has now become more spacious with a total area of 210sq ft with a brand
new look to suffice the customer needs. Coincidentally, this is also the silver
jubilee year for the enterprise. The showroom is named after my son Mohit, who
is also into electronics business in Guwahati," informed Jajodia.

Inaugurated by Sucheta Chatterjee, Actress, the store deals in all kinds of
IT hardware and software products ranging from PC cabinets, processors,
motherboards and chipsets to programming software, anti-virus, graphic software
and OS systems. The store now is focusing heavily on iPods and IT accessories.

"In Kolkata, IT is having a bit of setback compared to other metros. The
effort he has shown is commendable as offering a complete set of IT products
under one roof is hardly seen," said Chatterjee.
