Modern Computers has already conducted
3 exhibitions successfully this year. Speaking to The DQWeek, K

is a laudable response for any trade expo in Tamil Nadu. Visitors
experienced live-demo and even clarifi ed their doubts with the
experts at the stalls.” Gopinath further added, “Leading brands
encourage us during such events by providing special discounts and
offers. That is the reason we could provide latest products to
visitors at cheap rates. We sold data cards for Rs 450 at the event
which was a huge discount for any customer.”
Modern Computers has also planned to
conduct such exhibitions in other parts of Tamil Nadu like Madurai,
Coimbatore, Erode and Salem and the next in line is Coimbatore. The
extensive marketing and advertisement initiatives and the event venue
being easily accessible helped the organizers attract more visitors.
However, the next big opportunity expected by the dealers in Tamil
Nadu will be the sales around the festival of Deepawali. As the
festival is nearing, Modern Computers is planning to conduct a mega
fair during the festive season. Gopinath also added that compared to
other towns, Chennai is always the most-preferred location for
conducting computer exhibitions. “At the last exhibition in Chennai,
we displayed around 250 varieties of laptops for visitors which is
not possible in showrooms,” concluded Gopinath
