Mobile phone component sales to grow 15 percent

In mobile phone assembly industry, CCI (Compal Communications Inc) has set a
high record of revenue in March and April. It has tuned up the annual shipment
goal from 60 million units to 75 million units this year. The second biggest
Taiwan mobile phone OEM partner, Arima Communication Corp reached the highest
record of shipment at 4.27 million units in Q1 and is expecting the shipment in
Q2 to grow by another 10 percent. As to the iPod assembly partner, Inventec's
revenue of April will return to NT$10 billion. In terms of mobile phone
component industry, the sales will grow from 10 percent to 15 percent in Q2.
Ichia, the mobile phone keypad supplier, estimated that the revenue would grow
10 percent in Q2. Silitech may also see a growth of double digit in Q2.
