MITCON- a company promoted by ICICI, IDBI, IFCI, MIDC, MSSIDC and banks on the behest of government of Maharashtra, has joined hands with the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad for offering its MBA program in the e-learning mode in
Maharashtra.
"Until now students living in rural areas had little opportunities to opt for management education. We aim to take management education to doorsteps of the masses," said Rajeev Kumar, VP (IT),
MITCON.
MITCON has established more than 120 centers under its brand name MITCON e-School all over Maharashtra. It has also been appointed as the training provider for Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd (MKCL) that has been set up by the Maharashtra government to take the computer literacy program to the masses. So far, MKCL has established 3000 training centers across Maharashtra. Of these, 750 come from
MITCON.
Kumar said that MITCON had created a network of 32 B-School centers in the state. The mode of study would primarily be based on CD-based education, books/classroom lectures and the Web. A schedule would be given to students that the faculty of IMT, Ghaziabad would be available online for a certain period in which they could get their queries answered.
The Vidyasagar University for West Bengal certifies the program, he said. IMT Ghaziabad is a 22-year-old B-School offering postgraduate diploma in industrial relation and personnel management, global MBA and MBA in e-learning mode, which is its recent initiative in management education. This management program would cost Rs 24,000 per annum and would be taken to 40 centers across the state of
Maharashtra.
