Microtek, a leading IT Peripherals company, has introduced a new and enhanced version of its range of Max Power Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS). These new uninterrupted power supplies have an extra wide input range with an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) of 140 vAC ~ 280 vAC unlike the previous model which offered 145vAC ~ 265vAC. This means the UPS can be in Automatic Voltage Regulation mode without going to battery backup right upto 280vAC input. Microtek is now working on UPS that can give 140vAC ~ 300vAC
AVR.
These MOSFET based uninterrupted power supply systems have been designed to supply clean, continuous and high quality power as required by the computer and other electronic equipment. The wide AVR range ensures that these UPS do not switch over to the battery even if the input voltage dips to as low as 140 volts, instead they supply regulated output of 220vAC + 9% to the equipment and switch over to the battery only when the input voltage dips below 140vAC or exceeds 280vAC.
The Line Surge Protection circuitry inside these UPS protects the equipment from damage due to line spikes and surges. Their in-built battery charger ensures smooth and continuous charging of the batteries during mains operation.
These USPs have several user convenient features. They come with short circuit protection, provide deep discharge protection for battery and give power fail and battery low indication through audio beeps of varying frequencies. Their compact design ensures lowest floor space requirements. These UPS are housed in elegant plastic cabinets, unlike metal cases in most UPSs.
The two models currently available; While the Max Power 500VA UPS (Model MU-500) is priced at Rs 4,400, the 625VA UPS (Model MU-625) is priced at Rs 5,900.
