Microtek to announce Sharp Vision monitor series

Microtek International, a multi-product manufacturing company, has announced that it will be soon launching a new series of monitors in the market. Sharp Vision, the new series is expected to hit the market with all latest features made available in the monitor and it is a high-end product line. Microtek has introduced its FlatVision series in April and according to Rajesh Gupta, CEO, Microtek International Ltd, "Our sole aim is to launch products at different levels catering to various market segments, thereby attempting to influence every single customer to buy only Microtek brand when it comes to monitor. We want to beat all MNC brands and at the same time, offer products at different price points."

Meanwhile, the company has also announced that it is coming out with a new model of UPS in the entry-level and new range of sub-woofer speakers, in the next couple of months.

"The Sharp Vision range of high-end monitors will come with on-screen display feature, MPR-II certification and carry a three-year warranty period for the product, including for the picture tube. The monitors are to be launched in 14-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch category, and will be priced few hundreds higher than the FlatVision series," said Gupta. The company has set-up its seventh manufacturing plant in the country, which is to be purely focused on producing these high-end monitors and it is the third manufacturing unit for monitors.

The new entry-level UPS is to be packed with advanced features and would have a better AVR (automatic voltage regulation) rating to enhance the battery life. "It will also have a modem jack for connecting modem directly to this unit and likely to have an option of connecting printer in it," said Gupta. The product is to be priced Rs 700 to Rs 800 more than the existing 500 VA model cost.

Microtek is planning to announce a new channel scheme to provide better margins for the channel partners and increase the sales of its various products. The company has 250 plus dealers and 2,500 resellers across the country. "We are aiming to grow 100 percent this year, while registering 85 percent growth in the last fiscal," said Gupta. However, he declined to give any revenue figure on this.
