Microtek launches EC 500 UPS

Microtek Power Controls, a leading player in the power conditioning segment, has recently launched their economically priced line-interactive UPS in the market. Called EC 500, the line interactive UPS is an entry-level product coming with a price tag of Rs 3,450 for the end-users. Microtek has a strong base in online and off-line category with products ranging from 500 VA to 400 KVA and 500 VA to 30 KVA respectively. Some of the features of the product include cold-start facility, built-in AVR (150-260 volts), 3 X 5 Amps outlet socket, built-in spike buster & surge suppressor, and built-in RMS filter for compatibility with any kind of generators. "Above all, it comes with a free one year on-site warranty for the buyers," said

Sivakumar.

The company has 150 dealers in the channel network and focussed mainly in the regional market. "We are planning to open stock & service points in Trichy and Coimbatore shortly," he said. The company has branch offices in Madurai and Tirunelveli to cater to that region.

In the next stage, the company plans to launch online UPS with micro controller logon facility with LCD display and redundant system of parallel, hot stand-by, critical and non-critical. "We will have products right from 5 KVA to 400 KVA here," he added.

The company has made a turnover of Rs 3.1 crore in the last fiscal and working towards achieving a revenue of Rs 5 crore in the current fiscal.
