Microsoft to organize conventions for small business segment

With the objective of enabling small businesses realize their full potential
through techno-logy, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd has announced the
roll-out of its four-city small business CEO conventions. Starting in Mumbai,
the con-vention will also be conducted in the cities of Chennai, New Delhi and
Bangalore.

Targeted at the small busi-ness segment, the interactive convention will seek
to provide an in-depth perspective on the key business issues and chall-enges
that small business face. The broad spectrum of topics that will be covered
range from understanding essentials of business finance and growth strategies
for businesses for building operational excellence and achieving higher
produc-tivity levels. A solutions cafe to showcase critical business sol-utions
for the small businesses, including applications like financial accounting, ERP
and focused vertical solutions will compliment the interactive forum.

Consultants and financial advisors who understand the needs of the small
businesses and provide overall direction on strategies for growth will deliver
focused sessions at the convention. The speakers include renowned financial
advisor to small and medium organizations, Dr Prasanna Chandra, Prof Rishikesh T
Krishnan, Program Director (Corporate Strategy and Policy Area), IIM, Bangalore
and Dr Nitin Paranjpe, CMD, Maestros Medline Systems Ltd.
