Commenting on the seminar, Sanjiv Mathur, Director, Microsoft India said,
"As IT strengthens its role as a strategic business tool, security has
emerged as the most important issue for IT decision makers worldwide. For Indian
businesses, IT security needs to be a high priority -the lack of a stringent
security framework both at the corporate and policy level can actually impact
the success of Indian businesses in an increasingly competitive global
landscape."
"The biggest road block to deploying a secure IT framework - is the lack
of awareness about what it comprises. Through initiatives such as this, and our
work with industry partners, we aim to help our customers understand the role
that people, processes and technologies play in this respect, and how they can
use tools and resources to make themselves more secure, he added.
