Micronet Business Machines, a decade old company focused on providing hardware and networking solution, has announced that it is getting into software business and exit from its present job profile of hardware sales and service, and networking business. "Hardware business has become tough with too much of competition and shrinking margins day by day. Moreover, there is not much scope for specialization," said S Prakash, MD, Micronet Business Machines.
The company has been into trading as a reseller and it has authorized partnership status from New HP and IBM. It also had a major clientele in AMC and ASC service. "We have signed a deal with CSS Computers Pvt Ltd, a well-known company, who will provide service on our behalf to our existing customers both in AMC and ASC contracts, besides for warranty products," he said.
Meanwhile, the company has struck a working relationship with Ewak, a software company having offices in Chennai and Singapore, to provide management consultancy and marketing support on worldwide basis.
Ewak focuses on off-shore projects in legacy application migration, from Power Builder to latest component technologies Java and EJB. "Even if we could convert few projects which we are negotiating, it will be a good start for us as the projects are of high value," added
Prakash.
Micronet will also continue with its sales training and other management programs for the companies and individuals.
