"The fact that we have been appointed the distributor of HP Brio has been a major milestone for Micro Max. This will be a further value addition for our dealers," said Rajesh Agrawal, Director, Micro Max.

Micro Max has been the distributor of HP peripherals for the past two years and it is the first time that it has added PCs to its product list, informed Agrawal. The company would be the first tier distributor of HP Brio. With the 600 to 700 strong channel partner chain, Micro Max hopes to expand the reach of HP Brio. "Our appointment as the distributor of HP Brio, outlines HP's strategy of reaching out to the smaller segments of system integrators, which the bigger players such as Redington and Tech Pacific will not be able to do," he elaborated.

Agrawal also informed that HP is looking at pushing its Brio brand of PCs to the masses and into the smaller segments which include the assemblers and the GIDs etc. He is of the view that Micro Max would be able to reach that segment of reseller partners with its strong reseller chain. "This would aid in selling volumes as far as the Brio are concerned." Agrawal added that resellers could avail of all the schemes and benefits of HP.

Micro Max, which has been in the peripheral distribution business for the last six years, will be adding TVSE to its list of products within a month.
