Maxtor gives five-year warranty

Maxtor Corporation ann-ounced a five-year warra-nty period for all internal
(non-retail) PC and server hard drives shipped to its distributors in India. The
new warranty period is effective on products shi-pped on or after January 1,
2005, and is valid only at Maxtor's in-country service centers. 

"This additional war-ranty coverage demon-strates the confidence we have
in the qua-lity and reliability of our HDDs," said Yogesh Kamat, Country
Manager, Maxtor India. "Our channel and custo-mers expect and receive the
industry's strongest support pro-grams. This offering, toge-ther with our
service facilities, will ease our business processes." Maxtor has two
service centers in Mumbai, and one each in New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and
Hyderabad.
