Matrix Telecom Pvt Ltd has launched Cadence, an auto attendant cum voice mailing system. Matrix is a Vadodara based company focused on providing complete communication solution and a manufacturer of
EPABX.
Cadence is priced at Rs 50,000 plus local tax. The main feature of Cadence is the universal tone sensing within it, which makes it compatible with any EPABX. It has 4-ports with a capacity of 128 mailboxes and four and half-hour message storing capacity.
A survey published on business call patterns reported that 75 percent of the calls do not reach the caller the first time. Fifty percent of the calls require one way delivery of information. That is to say, certain information that has to be repeated can be automated. The survey further said that 50 percent of the calls to any organization take more than the required time. And there are 67 percent of people who do not want to be disturbed with calls while they are working. These four factors, according to Sagar C Gosalia, Head (Marketing), Matrix Telecom, question the productivity aspect of any organization.
Cadence not only addresses these factors but also ensures increased productivity, operational flexibility and enhances the image of an organization. Cadence is a standalone voice mail system, which is not computer based.
"If it is computer based there are chances of virus attack or delay in booting which in turn will affect the voice mail. Cadence does not have any moving parts also. Usually voice in a voice mail is recorded on a hard disk, here it is stored in a semi conductor chip," said
Gosalia.
In order to offer flexibility, the menu nodes in Cadence are programmable unlike other voice mail systems. Thereby the instrument can be customized according to the requirement of any organization/industry. Matrix is launching an EPABX for the electricity board to connect the substation through the existing Power Line Carrier Communication
(PLCC).
The product is currently under testing with Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, whereas Rajasthan Vidyuth Parishad Nigam (RVPN) and Gujarat Electricity Board have placed orders for this product. This year the company invested Rs 1.5 crore to make double their production.
