Sandhurst Road based Mark Systems, has now ventured into manufacturing of

compu-ter accessories. Marks have been involved in the manufac-turing business

since 1980, with video audio units and cable TV equipments. Now it has started

manufacturing 2-3-4 way VGA switches, spea-kers, video audio distributors and

switches, video extenders (up to 300 m) for PCs.

"It was time we ventured into this industry, as the mar-gins and

business in the cable industry are real low and is completely slack now.

There-fore, we have started with these products and are at present,

concentrating on few dealers at Lamington Road at Mumbai. Presently, we have

been doing business with dealers like Raju and Raju, who have been active

partners from the beginning," said Dilip Vora, Proprietor of Mark Systems.

In this product category, there is also strong competi-tion from China and

Taiwan as the same products are impor-ted at lower costs. "The China threat

is definitely there but, we do not want to adopt the route of giving huge cash

discounts. Partners who have been using our products can understand the

difference therefore, now they are our dedicated part-ners. No credit is given

there-fore, only cash dealings making business smooth. This part-nership is also

increasing slo-wly, as other players are show-ing interest," added Vora.
