Make your e-business efficient

VR Srivatsan, Senior Director with Oracle (South Asia) came up with 10 principles to increase the efficiency of e-business at the conference held in connection with Connect 2001.

True e-businesses should have connectivity among various departments integrating applications within the organization preferably using e-business suite. They should be global in outlook but should simplify processes and employ the concept of self-service everywhere. They should centralize the information so that they can get intelligent information to compete. Instead of going in for customized software solutions they should configure to their needs. Moreover, share information as collaboration breeds efficiency. And think of the web first as if it succeeds there it is bound to succeed in other modes also, but not the web only. The final principle to increase efficiency - challenge conventional wisdom.
