Mahatta Camera Corporation, the Delhi-based marketing partner of Canon Inc, which also has offices in Chennai and Bangalore, has announced the launch of Canon's extended range of digital imaging products. The range of products include three digital cameras including Powershot A10, Powershot A20, Digital IXUS 300, and CP 10, a digital card photo printer, which prints directly from the camera, without the need to connect to a computer, in less than 60 seconds.

"Canon and Mahatta Camera Corporation are pleased to introduce an extended range of digital cameras which host a number of features at a value for money pricing. This range will supplement the digital cameras launched earlier, giving our consumers numerous options. The digital imaging market is a potentially promising one in the country and we intend to make available more and more new products and fuel the growth in digital imaging in the country," said Ajay Mehta, Director - Operations, Mahatta Camera Corporation.

The PowerShot A10 and A20 are compact and lightweight and come with features usually found in high-priced digicams, thereby making it the perfect choice for those making the transition from analog to digital imaging. In addition, both cameras are capable of creating credit card-sized prints as well as stickers using Canon's new CP-10 printer.

The CP-10 makes printing from digital files simple and fun by allowing users to control all print setting directly from the camera's LCD monitor. Printer data is then transferred to the CP-10 directly through a dedicated interface cable. Along with the small print size (approximately 3.4 x 2.1 inches), the new, ultra-compact CP 10 allows bordered or border-less credit card size prints to be produced in 56 or 58 seconds respectively.
