New Update

Computer and Media Society (CAMS), the IT association in Madurai has organised their anniversary expo in an innovative way. The three-day event, inaugurated by V V Rajan Chellapa, Mayor, Corporation of Madurai, was mainly concentrating on the vendors rather the partners.

Elaborating the initiative, Immanuel David, who is the chairman of the expo, said, "In expos generally, the stalls will be based on the partner. A product that is available for a particular rate can be undercut by another partner in the very next stall. To avoid this, we have allotted a stall for every brand and a partner who had tied up with that particular vendor will be present in the stall." He also said that this formula has been successfully implemented and as a result of that almost all the leading brands took part in this expo. "We had spent huge on marketing concentrating on the youth, SMB and industries segments." said Immanuel, who further added that for the first time in the history of Madurai exhibitions, only this year, the day-one sale was very huge.

Speaking to ‘The DQ Week', G Ravikumar, President of the association said, "We worked for more than 90 days for this expo and the expo was organised considering the sale of New Year and Christmas sale." He also said that since the Pongal festival is also nearing the event may attract good revenue. Speaking on the welfare activities, Ravikumar said, "The responses through the expo till now are good. We will definitely plan for a family trip and we will definitely look after the possible ways for owning a property for the association," he concluded.
