Bareilly-based M&M
Enterprises, which is one of the leading resellers of D-Link and
Digisol's networking products and Compaq and HCL-branded laptops, is
expected to open its retail outlet in Rampur (UP) and Rudrapur
(Uttarakhand) by 2011. The company is also expecting a 400 percent
growth in its revenue from services offering. Speaking to
size="3">The
DQ Week
, Mehdi Abbas Rizvi, MD,
M&M
Enterprises said that, services play a key role in the IT channel
marketplace where consumers are much concerned about the after-sales
support, even before making a purchase. He also said that, the trends
suggest that IT products, such as laptops, notebooks and netbooks
will be the dominating offering in the region's IT market.

The company has
already
forayed into services, and nearly 80 percent of its revenue come from
post-sales support and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
Expanding from share broking firms and individual clients, M&M
Enterprises is now eying on share-trading firms, stock brokers and
educational institutions. "Besides SOHO, we are shifting our
focus to SMB sector, and will cater to business that have more than
five PCs," said Rizvi. "Our concentration is on services,
and we strive to be a key player in the region. The company is
exploring the business opportunities and will expand its footprints
in tier-3 cities, including Rampur and Rudrapur by the end of 2011,"
he informed.
