Ludhiana association organizes blood donation camp for Thalassemia kids

Ludhiana based Computer Association Entrepreneurs (ACE) organized a blood donation camp on May 28 at Hotel Le Baron, Ludhiana. The association dedicated this camp to the cause of children suffering from Thalassemia (those who need regular blood transfusion).

The camp was assisted by Zindagi Live foundation, an NGO. The camp received full support and was attended by local computer dealers, associations' staff, friends, and relatives who participated for the noble cause.

Gurpreet Singh Jagdev, joint secretary, ACE, said, "It is the first blood donation camp conducted to invite blood donors exclusively for the benefit of Thalassemia patients. So far, this has been the biggest accomplishment by the new team of our association." According to him, "Thalassemic children are the most vulnerable individuals. With this camp, our association has tried to create awareness for such children among masses and donated blood to save their precious lives."

As per information received from the organizers, 120 units of blood were collected from the participants at the camp that was organized in less than 4 and half hours.

Jagdev also added, "For the first time, most of the distributors, vendors, and dealers were gathered under one roof for this endeavor. It gave immense satisfaction and meaning to all who participated for this cause."
