occasion, TSR Subramanian, former Union Cabinet Secretary said, “The slowdown
in the IT sector in India is only temporary, brought about by the recession in
the US economy and loss of faith in the Indian market system. But the need for
IT-enabled applications in other parts of the world and Indian expertise over it
would soon open new doors for the IT companies.”
Subramanian said if the domestic market for IT-enabled
services were developed, it would surely give a boost to the software industry.
