After a

3-month continued loggerhead between href="https://www.dqweek.com/akitda-angry-over-intel-s-lack-of-accountability">AKITDA

(All Kerala IT Dealers

Association) and Intel over motherboard replacement issue, the

situation seems to be in control, where Intel finally channelized the

replacement process.

Amidst

several meetings, discussions and consensus over replacement issues,

AKITDA members were unhappy over Intel's lack of accountability to

resolve the issue for a long time. But after The DQ Week's

several reportage on the grievances of channel partners in Kerala,

Intel seriously looked into the problem and has been pushed to

replace pending motherboards under warranty effectively.

AKITDA

members have started attending the sales meeting with Intel after the

replacements started. Earlier channel partners in Kannur and

Mallapuram boycotted the meeting with Intel over the problem. Over

the issues, State PRO, John G Kotara commented, “Earlier we

boycotted meetings with Intel in Mallapuram and Kannur because of the

problem, but after Intel started their replacements the meeting in

Ernakulam went smoothly.”

They have

started replacing the pending motherboards in most of the places. We

look forward to maintain the same,” said Jyoti Shanker, state

secretary, AKITDA. But some people are still skeptic of the

situation, as earlier Intel promised the same but didn't work out.

Both Intel and AKITDA members unanimously planned to agree on certain

points but Intel fail to keep up their promise.

So now, it

is

a wait and watch situation to arrive on any conclusion. Pointing out

similar problem, Suresh PG, immediate past president, AKITDA said,

“Though they have started replacing the motherboards under

warranty, the final picture would be revealed after some point of

time.”
