solutions, is looking at expanding its base across the country.
Elaborating on the plans, Sanjay Soni, MD, Logix Microsystems said,

Indian
market
is seeing a different trend of building solutions for internal
threats. Companies are already aware of external threats, but there
is very less penetration in the internal threat space. Soni remarked,
“Defense or government carry a lot of confidential data. It becomes
very important to secure it. People are becoming more conscious about
security including small companies.” SME being an upcoming market,
the company is focusing in the middle sector, comprising of companies
in tier-1 cities. Logix is also looking at expanding their channel
base. Currently the company has 12 partners. Logix is looking at
partners who already have their presence in Defense or government.
Partners should have mindset and first level of technical competence.
Since it is a niche sector, they should be able to invest in
technical manpower.

Sharing
the
value proposition, Soni added, “We do work through channels and
provide technical support .But we can not be holding hands all the
time. Partners need to have a separate focus and drive since this is
not just box pushing.” He also rued the fact that there are no
specific pricing points for Asia. Soni concluded, “Ours is a very
price conscious market. Charging both service tax and VAT is not
making any sense. Either it has to be service or commodity.
Government should take some steps to address this otherwise it will
hamper the growth of the industry.”
