Logitech intros MX518 optical mouse for gamers

Logitech has unveiled the MX518 gaming-grade optical mouse in India.
According to the press release, with one click, gamers can instantly increase
and dec-rease mouse resolution from as high as 1600 dots per inch (dpi) to as
low as 400 dpi.

The MX optical engine delivers ultra-high resolution and the ability to
process 5.8 megapixels per second-ach-ieving an acceleration of 15g. The new
generation of the MX optical engine uses a 16-bit format to send data—
ena-bling the mouse to trans-mit 8,000 bits of information per second. With the
new gam-ing-specific version of Logi-tech SetPoint software, a ga-mer can
program as many as five levels of resolution, rang-ing from 400 dpi to 1600 dpi.

The mouse features a total of eight buttons, including left and right key
plates, which can be set to represent different com-mands using the SetPoint
software. The physical design of the Logitech MX518 mouse is also opti-mized for
the gaming experience. The mouse is now available in India at the suggested
retail price for the product is Rs 3,999.
