Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems Inc and provider of VoIP,
wireless and networking hardware for the consumer, small office/home office (SOHO)
and small business markets, has announced an all India retail strategy to
promote its range of wireless products. The company will create Demo Zones
across 60 retail stores in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore,
Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi, that will provide customers easy options to deploy
Wi-Fi solutions for their homes.

According to the press release, to effectively tap the
available opportunities, Linksys Demo Zones will demonstrate the capabilities of
the company's complete range of wireless products at showrooms in select
retail stores across the country by July 5, 2005. Handpicked retailers will be
given demonstration kits comprising Linksys wireless Internet video cameras,
routers, media adapters and wireless adaptors that will help create Wi-Fi
enabled home showcases on site. Linksys India also offers post sales customer
support through a dedicated toll free helpline.

Adil Doctor, Country Sales Manager, Linksys India said,
"India is potentially a large wireless market-the key application areas in
entertainment, education and security are compelling most urban households to
opt for a diverse set of wireless products. And as the demand for convergence
increases, Linksys aims to be at the forefront of this revolution. The demo
zones will help customers become familiar with products and how they work before
they bring them home."
