LifeSize to strengthen its channel base

Video conferencing solution provider, LifeSize, is all set to strengthen its presence in the Indian market. Earlier in February, the company unveiled its new range of LifeSize Icon series and as the year moves ahead, there are plans to rope in new channel partners across various cities.

Commenting on this, Deepak Braganza, Country Manager, India South Asia, LifeSize said, "We already have presence in number of cities across India. Within this year, we plan to grow our network stronger through our channel partners across various cities."

LifeSize has been focusing on four macro target verticals in India, which includes, Large Enterprises with a focus on sectors like energy, entertainment, financial services, healthcare, media, utilities. Secondly, mid-market enterprises wherein it caters to the requirements of sectors like corporate recruiting, high tech, legal services, manufacturing, professional services, and retail. In addition, special emphasis is towards Education including Primary, Secondary and Higher Education and Public Sector including Federal, State and Local Government. Braganza said, "We are specifically focusing on education and healthcare vertical. Both are equally important from opportunity point of view."

At the distribution front, the company has partnered with distributors namely Redington which was appointed as National Value Added Distributor for India. On this Braganza said, "With this partnership, Redington has been distributing LifeSize's High Definition (HD) video collaboration products and solutions through its distribution network across the country." He further added, "Ingram Micro is another partner that has been appointed as National Technology Distributor for India. Ingram Micro is responsible to distribute LifeSize's High Definition (HD) video collaboration products and solutions through its distribution network across the region. To differentiate our business and drive expansion and profitability for the company, we have strategically partnered with these resellers."

Commenting on growth through distributors, Braganza said, "We have been witnessing a rapid growth in the adoption of its high definition video collaboration solutions across markets in India. Ingram Micro will help us leverage its extensive reach and strong capabilities to strengthen our presence in India. With this partnership, Ingram Micro will create sales and profitability opportunities for LifeSize through its unique marketing programs." Life Size was set up in 2003 and was acquired by Logitech in the year 2009.
