LG leads in monitor market: IDC

LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd (LGEIL), the market leader in the display and
optical storage devices segment, announced that it has achieved the number one
position in the Indian PC monitor market as per the recent report published by
leading research agency, IDC in Q2 2005.

The IDC report has clearly placed LG as the highest selling brand in the PC
Monitor market (CRT and LCD) both in units and value for Q2 2005. Apart from
leading in Q2 2005, LG has also established its overall leadership in the
first-half of the

calendar year.

LG, over the years had developed one of the largest after-sales service
network both on call and web-based. At present LG has 220 authorized service
centers covering 150 locations throughout the country, which plays a major part
in the post sales support arrangement. LG's success in India has been the
result of a strong customer centric marketing policy backed by an equally strong
channel network.
