LG elevates Sanjoy Bhattacharya

Sanjoy Bhattacharya, who

held the portfolio of DGM-Product Group Marketing at LG Electronics

India has been elevated as the Product Group Marketing Head-IT

Business within the organization. The division has been revamped and

renamed as IT Business from the previous Business Solutions Group.

Speaking exclusively to

The DQ Week, Bhattacharya said that, the main focus area will

be monitors, and wants LG to transform into a complete display

solution company in one years time. "We want to be a

future-oriented company, and play a leadership role in

innovative-technology driven products," he said. Bhattacharya

also said that, he will aggressively work to increase the market

share of company's premium products range that include super slim, 3D

and network monitors. "Besides regular product portfolio, we

will bring new technologies to India and are expecting 30 percent

sales from the premium products line by the end of 2011," he

added.

Bhattacharya also said,

that the company has a clear focus and will work for a common

endeavor, and have a growth vision for three to seven years down the

line. Bhattacharya joined LG in 2001, and worked with Redington India

as branch head prior to joining the Korean giant. He had been working

with LG's product group marketing for more than two years, and now

leads the IT business of LG India. He holds a PG diploma in Foreign

Trade Management, and had completed BSc degree from the University of

Calcutta. As an industry veteran, Bhattacharya worked closely with

Manikandan, who had started regional distribution pattern in LG,

through which many partners have surged in tandem with the company's

growth pace.
