Leviton to setup HQ facility in Bengaluru

Leviton is planning to setup HQ facility for India and SAARC operations in
Bengaluru, which will be operational very soon. One of the company's immediate
goals is to establish a strong business partners network on war footing for both
distribution and implementation.

“Having consolidated our position in the USA, we have started spearheading
operations in other emerging markets like South America, Middle East, India,
China, ASEAN and South Pacific countries. Leviton is perfectly poised to expand
its global footprint,” said Prasanna Kumar, Regional Director-India and SAARC,
Leviton.

Besides Networking Solutions, the company would offer residential or
connected home lighting and controls, wireless and power solutions.

The criteria for selecting the partners will be based on their passion and
proven track record. “We will train the selected partners and ensure they are
well-equipped to provide world class support to our customers,” Kumar mentioned.

The company is also planning to bring in workforce on board comprising of the
channel, technical, back office and sales support across the country.

“The product manufac­turing facilities are owned and operated by Leviton
itself. As we do not have contract manufacturers, we have complete control over
the quality,” Kumar claimed. “India remains one of the fastest growing economies
in the world. While the slowdown has had its effect globally, its effect on the
Indian business is relatively less compared to most of the other countries in
the world. This is really an encouraging trend that one sees in India and SAARC
and we are confident that markets will continue to improve in this region in the
coming quarters,” he added.
