The company has been teasing the smartphone since quite some time on its social media handles and seems to bring the focus of its fans towards the processing power of the device.

One of the teasers stressed on the fact that the Lenovo K8 Note will sport an efficient processor that will work smoothly across different apps or services. After a few days, the company posted another teaser in the form of a video. The video showed two other smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processors, giving low result as compared to that of the upcoming 'Killer Note'.

The firm, however, did not reveal the processor the handset will carry. Looking at the video they may not be the Snapdragon 430 or the 625.

Lenovo launching its K8 Note directly after the 'K6' series is rather interesting as the company is entirely skipping the 'K7' moniker. There could be a possibility since number 7 is considered unlucky in China, the K7 moniker was dropped.
The arrival of the K8 Note counters several rumours on the web stating that the company will eventually fade out its smartphone brand and will completely focus on Motorola. Back in May, Lenovo said that it has no plans to fade out its own smartphone brand. The company group chairman and chief executive Yang Yuanqing told Reuters that the Chinese tech firm plans to keep intact its Lenovo-Motorola dual-brand strategy. "We will never phase out Lenovo," Yang said to Reuters.
The Lenovo K8 Note will come as a successor to the K6 Note, which was launched in December last year at Rs 13,999. The handset came with a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display along with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the optics front, the smartphone sported a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies.
