Bhopal-based Latest Devices is expanding beyond Madhya Pradesh. By December,
this year, the company is set to open its branch in Lucknow, informed Bhupendra
Gaur, CEO, Latest Devices.

Earlier in October, Gaur floated another company, Latest Computers &
Technologies, in partnership with his cousin Devendra Gaur, to open a
multi-brand retail outlet in Jhansi. The response has been encouraging and now
Bhupendra Gaur is putting his might behind the expansion course. "This
would include new geographies and product lines," he said.

Beginning with Rs 7,000 in 1997 Gaur has come a long way. He closed last
fiscal in March 2005 with Rs 6.50 crore in revenues. "From a time when the
total market share of IBM PCs in Bhopal was barely Rs 10 lakh to doing a
turnover of Rs 60 lakh every month from our IBM retail alone — our growth has
been good. In fact, we have led the growth of IT market in Bhopal and the nearby
surrounding areas," said Gaur.

Now, the company is focusing on the corporate business. Gaur informed that
corporate business is one area where one can earn a decent margin. He has
allotted the distribution, corporate and government business to Latest Devices
and the IBM retail business falls under the purview of a separate company -
Latest Information Technology.

Latest Devices has recently boosted product portfolio, taking on the
distributorship of HCL Ezeebee at the regional level. The company has about 150
dealers in its distribution network. "However, the focus right now is on
growing the corporate business," emphasized Gaur. The company list of
corporate clients in Bhopal includes the likes of Reliance, Tata Indicom and
Dainik Bhaskar.
