Chennai-based Banking software major, Laser Soft Infosystems, has launched a multi-lingual system called ProBanker/ML for Banking software.
The software, capable of generating customer outputs in multiple languages in a bank branch, can be interfaced with any branch automation software. Irrespective of the local language, customers can get outputs in various languages such as Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. And, the customer can choose the language to generate outputs such as bank statements, advice, notice and other information. Developed on the standard language processors such as iLeap, it can support all languages supported by the language processor. The product, which has a life cycle of 5 years, took 15 people and six months to develop.
"We would put our customers on an annual maintenance contract at the market rate of 12-15 percent of the cost. We are looking at a revenue of Rs 1 crore from this product for the first year. It should increase substantially in the coming years as this software provides a low cost alternative to the card based software which had to be put in the hardware," said BS Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director, Laser Soft.
Laser Soft has already tied up with Andhra Bank to implement this software in their 100 branches throughout the country. Another 300 branches would be equipped with it in the second phase of operations. Laser Soft has identified RBI and SBI as prospective client
