Kolhapur rolls out new price list at Tech Caravan

With an objective to address the challenges faced by channel partners in Kolhapur, The DQ Week conducted its ongoing series of Tech Caravan on December 14.

On December 14th, The DQ Week reached the Kolhapur in Maharashtra, which is one of the fastest growing cities in Maharashtra. Kolhapur is known as 'dakshin kashi', 'historical capital of Maharashtra state', 'door of konkan 'as well as 'city of wrestlers ' and 'city of arts'. It's also known as city of palaces and temples. Kolhapur is situated on the banks of the river Panchganga and is the location of the Temple of Mahalakshmi, a Hindu goddess.

Kolhapur market has been witnessing slow growth for sometime now, however, channel partners showed up in numbers to show their support for the cause. The event was supported by Norton by Symantec, Uniline and Western Digital. The event was supported by local association Computer Association Kolhapur (CAK).

The channel partner meet was held at Hotel Woodlands in Kolhapur where more than 80 partners attended the meet. The event kicked off with an informative presentation by Norton representative. The evening got even more interesting with the commencement of panel discussion, which was the most awaited by partners. The esteemed panelist included Arun Managave of Aditya Peripherals, Saidas A K of Cache Technologies and Sunil Patil of Pacific.

Before the panel discussion commenced, CAK president Shrenik Bhindge launched the new service pricing list along with the panelist and The DQ Week Editor. The last time, Tech Caravan was organised at Kolhapur, the association had launched their website.

The stalwarts on the panel discussed at length various issues including service and profitability, business sustainability, payments and credit, and LFR and emergence of retail. Commenting on local issues, Arun Managave elaborated, "The partner community has to come together and work a single unit. The time has to come to rethink growth and profitability strategies."

In addition, the panelist also talked about how partners can introduce changes in the business model and establish a streamline in money matters, charges and improve quality of services. The audience was also interactive and openly asked questions and seeked out solutions as one big group.

The time was short and there were still subjects to discuss. The association promised their members to take up all the matters as soon as possible in the next association meeting. Following this, the channel partners indulged in cocktail and networking over dinner.
