Kodak India has announced a new strategy to involve more consumers in the
exciting world of photography. The company has dedicated year 2005 to the theme
of 'Celebration of Life' in various facets.
In keeping with this strategy, Kodak India has launched 'Kodak EC 300'
automatic camera at Rs 995 with three Max films free. It has also announced the
'Kodak Max Film Celebration Pack', which offers two Max Rolls at Rs 205.
Research has proved that typically Indians are yet to make photography a
regular part of their daily lives, with most of the photographs taken only on
special occasions. Current behavior is to take photographs, which are posed and
'picture perfect'.
"Extensive consumer res-earch indicates, that most camera non owning
households, feel the loss of precious mom-ents, not captured and among the
camera owning households, many consumers have been in a situation, wherein they
think that a memorable spontaneous picture should have been recorded," said
Ravi Karam-cheti, Business Manager, Digital and Film imaging systems sales and
operations. Kodak India.
