Kingmax holds first partner meet in Delhi

At the event, the company showcased its newly launched products including high-defi nition cards for surveillance applications

Kingmax Digital, a Taiwan based memory vendor has strengthened its distribution fleet, with the appointment of Kolkata based Supertron as its third national distributor (ND). In addition to Supertron, Kingmax is having an alliance with Salora International and Redington. With these 3 distributors, the company is actively attacking the memory market with new range of high-end memory products and going high on establishing it as a serious memory player.

In an exclusive interaction with The DQWeek, Yvonne Chang, senior manager, sales and marketing, Kingmax Digital said, "We have been present in India with our Salora distributor for the last 3 years. But in the past 2 years, we have aggressively developed our channel base for our products. Now, we are all geared up with complete distribution model and channel strategies."

Kingmax recently held its first distributor-dealer meet in Delhi for the first time in the last 3 years.

At the event, the company showcased its newly launched products such as Micro SD 64 GB card, Nano gaming RAM and 1 TB SSD and various high definition cards for surveillance applications. Going forward, more training and awareness programs are in the pipeline.

Speaking about channel plans, Lalit Nangia, India representative, sales and marketing, Kingmax said, "We are putting efforts to make our partners comfortable with our products. Several initiatives have been taken to optimize our service support and stocking operation. Moreover, more are in the pipeline as we are shortly rolling out our training programs for our distributors, which will be followed by programs for our dealers. Later, selected partners will be invited to visit our Taiwan factory." With the best-of-breed of distributors along with 10,000 resellers base, the vendor is looking at having double digit growth. Currently, Kingmax claims to have 6% marketshare, which it intends to touch 10% by the end of 2011." On the service front, all the RMA support is lying with its distributors. When asked how would they position in the highly competitive market, Nangia said, "We are aware that the market is brimmed with Taiwanese brands which have strong hold in the market. Having said that, the company sees plethora of head room in this space."
