Orissa-based Key Business Solutions (KBS) has several
things to look forward to in 2006. The company is a Platinum Business Partner of
Emerson Network Power. With offices in three cities of Orissa, the firm will
soon come up with a service center at Paradip Port. “Paradip will soon have a
Korea-based company, POSCO, setting up a steel plant. Another food manufacturing
unit too will be coming up here. This is why we will have our center there, as
we will be able to get more business deals,” explained Sruti Ranjan Patnaik,
MD, KBS.
Apart from Paradip, the solution provider is also conÂsidering
setting up a center in Duburi, Orissa. It's interesÂting to know that Orissa
is getting Rs 6,000 crore from overseas countries, since they view India as a
country with tremendous IT potential.

“We will be selecting 10 key partners across the country
in 2006. They will be concenÂtrating more on remote areas and target SMEs and
SOHO segment. These partners will be hand held initially by the sales teams
based in its existing offices at BhubaneÂshwar, Sambalpur and Ber-hamÂpur,”
elaborated Patnaik. The partners will be based out of cities like Damanjodi,
Phulvani, Koraput and other cities as well.
KBS will continue targeting corporates through its direct
presence, while SMEs and the SOHO segment will be taken care of by partners. The
basis of selection of these channel partners will be on the reach they have in
the cities they are present in and their relation with end-customers.
Another aspect KBS has to look forward to is extending its
presence in other states of the country like Chhatisgarh. “We are getting
inquiries from Chhatisgarh and talks with Emerson are going on for the same.
Once we get a green signal from them, we would set up a center there as well,”
said Patnaik.
