Kanyakumari District Computer Dealers'

Association (KDCDA) is putting efforts to educate its members on

developing business knowledge. The newly-elected team under the

leadership of R Subramanaiyam has set an objective to understand and

resolve members' issues.

According to R Subramanaiyam,

president, KDCDA, “Presently, our members are lacking the skills of

driving their business aptly and they also don't have a clear vision

of conducting business. Hence, the core priority of our association

is to educate them for doing good and healthy business. Despite our

efforts, they are not able to leverage the benefits commercially. We

are planning to conduct various seminars, meetings and presentations

for enhancing their business confidence.”

The association is

also planning to launch a dealers' directory for the benefit of

customers, dealers and its members. Besides this, the association

will conduct social activities like eye-donation camp, which is

supposed to be its next event, wherein people will voluntarily sign a

declaration to donate their eyes after death.

Another issue which the association is

crippled with is the post-sales service support of the principal

companies. TK Manikandan, former president of the association said,

“During my tenure, we faced the absence of local service providers'

support in Nagercoil. For any repair or replacement related issues,

we used to send products to Tirunelveli, which is 100 kms away from

here.”

Echoing the same sentiments, Selvan

Justus, secretary, KDCDA said, “Our city does not have adequate

service centers. It takes a month to get the replacement, and due to

this, we face customers' ire.”
