Karnakata CM launches APPTAB Tablet

Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish launched a low cost tablet manufactured by Bengaluru based Apptab iTech. The cost of the tablet is Rs.4,900/-.

Suresh J K, a Bengaluru based entrepreneur , while announcing formation of his new company "APPTAB iTECH Private Limited" conducted the national launch of "APPTAB Tablet PC" - five latest models Apptab Smile & Apptab Sleek with Android 4.0.3 Ice-cream Sandwich, Bluetooth, Apptab Geno & Apptab Duniya with Phone, dongle, Bluetooth and GPS and Apptab Vegas 9.7inch with IPS Screen. Apptab iTech has designed and developed the tablet PCs specifically to suit the Indian IT needs & market in terms of quality, features & price.

JK Suresh said "We are pleased to have brought to India sophisticated technology allowing consumers an easy, accessible and affordable option to discover and enjoy the Tablet experience. Consumers will get value for money through the product quality & features and don't have to pay for a brand's sake. We are planning to tie up with many online companies for online sales, Mapmyindia for Navigator system & Tata Photon for data card to give value addition to our customers and expect to sell 4000 tabs per month in the South Indian market to begin with.

Though many Tablet PCs are available today in India, after sales support is a major concern. According to the tablet vendor, they have addressed this critical issue through establishing 251 services centres in 150 cities in India and 12 Warehouse in all major cities. More service Centres will follow based on the Customer needs. The company has a designated R&D team for product development support and will associate with application developers to integrate Apptabs with exclusive applications for Schools, Colleges, Banks and other industry specific apps. Apart from that, the company will also provide Tablet PC accessories such as Tab Keyboard, Cover, Portable wifi router, power Bank and USB Drive.
