KAontron brings in power saving Mini-ITX industrial mobos

In order to
address the ever-present issue of power consumption in industrial computing, Kontron,
launches a power-saving, fanless and low-cost Mini-ITX industrial motherboard -
the NX-LCD/mITX. This board is based on the fanless and low power AMD Geodeâ„¢
NX1250 and NX1500 processors, which have a power consum­ption of 6 watts!

The NX-LCD/mITX uses the VIA
KN400A chipset and supports up to 1GB of DDR333 SDRAM memory, integrated S3
graphics and other powerful specifications, including four USB 2.0 ports, a
10/100 Ethernet connection; two serial ports, Parallel ATA and Serial-ATA
(optional LVDS and 4 serial ports). All of these functions provide cus­to­mers
with a well-rounded, low power solution for embedded systems and applications.

Embedded OS is also supported
via a CompactFlash and a socket. Designed to support various applications such
as Information application products, ATM machines, KIOSK,
point-of-sales/point-of- information, ga­m­ing and infotainment, measurement
technology, lotteries, banking and Thin Client, the NX-LCD/mITX is a high
performance product at a low price.
