Kankaria enters software business

Kankaria Computer Links (KCL), a leading hardware reseller

in the market, has got into software business by tying up with Ikonnet, a

Taiwan-based company. KCL has been appointed as the sole distributor in India

for Ikonnet's HiClass software which is a classroom tool ideal for educational

institutions and other coaching centers. "Ikonnet's HiClass software is a

multimedia education network system and it offers high broadcast efficiency and

better stability," said Sunil, Director, KCL.

The software comes with user-friendly interface and can be

easily adopted by teachers and students, and it has many unique functions ideal

for integrated class environment. "With the functions like broadcast,

observe, control and more, HiClass software facilitates easy interaction between

teachers and students," he said.

The company is very optimistic about its new business and

according to Sunil, education software has a great potential in the state like

Tamil Nadu where schools and colleges are growing in great numbers everyday.

KCL is planning to develop a new channel partners network

to market this product. "This is not just box pushing business and we need

partners who can understand the product well and market it to the right

audience," said Sunil. "At the same time, the margins are high here

and an active player can make more money in the business."

Ikonnet's HiClass software is priced Rs 45,000 for a

15-user license.

KCL will do both direct marketing and channel business with

this software.
