Yet another new association is formed in Tamil Nadu. The channel partners in Kanchipuram, recently, have formed an association with a name registered as ‘Kanchee information technology association' with 12 members initially.
Speaking to ‘The DQ Week', Sridhar, CEO, Spectra Systems, who has been elected president of the association told, "We are planning to increase the head-count of the members by inviting the partners in places like Cheyyar, Uthiramerur, Maduranthagam, Sunguvarchatram, and strengthen our team." He also added that the 30km radius temple district has lot of schools, colleges, theme parks and MNCs which are the major revenue generating factors for the channel partners in the district apart from the silk industries which are the major business providers for the IT traders. "Located in the outskirts of Chennai, our district houses lot of factories, offices, from various industries like automobiles, IT, heavy metals, etc", Sridhar remembered.
Speaking on the association activities, he told, "We are planning to have a uniform pricing for service charges across the district and we also want to implant basic computer awareness among the people in our district", he added. Sridhar also said that lot of social-welfare activities will be organized in the coming days. Soon, the association is likely to join the Confed-ITA, one of the biggest associations in South.
VAIT member helped forming an association:
Since the association is new, C.Arumugam, a member of Vellore Information Technology Association (VAIT) and Former Joint.Seceretary of Confed-ITA, has helped the Kanchipuram district association through guiding them with the registration process and all the basics needed to form an association. It has to be noted that the Vellore Information Technology Association, known for its active participation in the societal and member welfare activity, last year, had helped the channel partners in Tiruvannamalai form an individual association.
