Kanbay gets SEI CMM level 5 certification

Kanbay Inc., provider of financial services solutions, has achieved SEI CMM Level 5 for its card services and lending and business intelligence businesses. Assessment for software engineering and project management process for the company's Chicago, US based customers was done by QAI India. The highlight of Kanbay achievement, according to a press release, was the assessment of its global processes at the level. "What differentiates Kanbay from other IT companies is that our customers do not experience multi-site, multi country dealings. They experience a global process that is consistent, efficient and adds value to them," said Kanbay Inc. VP, Aparna Katre. Acording to her, the process improvement program would enable Kanbay to considerably reduce software development lifecycle leading to increase in productivity and improvement in quality-saving time and money for both the customers and the company.
