Jupiter International has set up a CDR manu-facturing
facility in Baddi. In technical colla-boration with Singulus Technologies,
Germany, the facility has been set up through a Jupiter subsidiary under its
brand Frontech. According to the company, the CDRs manufactured here would match
world standards at Indian prices.

In the first phase, the company will market 40 million CDRs
in India besides exporting the product to selective business alliances in West
Asia, East Europe, South Asia and Africa. In the second phase, beginning July
2005, it will double the production capacity in the Baddi plant and will
additionally start manufacturing fourth gene-ration DVDRs to meet the growing
demand of tech-nology savvy, quality cons-cious customers in Europe and USA.

The CDRs produced at the plant in Baddi will be marketed in
India under Frontech brand. "For the premium market segment it will be
Frontech Plus," said Alok Garodia, MD, Jupiter International. He added,
"Indian markets need a secure medium for data storage at affordable price
points." The Frontech Plus branded CDRs incorporate Data Vault Technology
that enables superior archival life.
