Jetage : Coming of Age

In its endeavor to diversify, Jetage Computer Traders, a leading distributor and retailer of Chandigarh, is looking beyond its core business of IT and getting into a new venture. It has started another firm this year, Redcraft Academy, with an aim to provide personality development training to corporate houses, colleges, institutes, schools, as well as individuals across the country. The company has also appointed Ritesh Bammi, as its MD, who comes with a 12 years experience in this field.

Speaking about this new venture, Sanjeev Walia, MD, of Jetage Computer Traders, said, "We have 53 topics to train people on time management, conflict management, stress management, work-life balance, change management, reciprocation skills, etc. There are individuals working very hard in any organization but they can't grow beyond a certain level. And that's where we pitch in and help them achieve what they have been deprived off."

The company is already in talks with a leading media house in the country, Bahra University in Shimla, JMIT College in Haryana to name a few. Besides, it is also in talks with companies like Toshiba and Instant Karma, India's largest event management company. "Personality development is a basic need for the students. We are just acting as memory cards and speakers that give a proper output. We provide them an ability to think, speak, body language, confidence, and dressing traits," added Bammi.

The company has appointed trainers who could impart training from 8th standard student to a 60 year old person. Says Bammi, "We give them training that is of international standards. We not only source training materials from outside the country but also the trainers and pay them on hourly basis."

Meanwhile, the company's IT business is also growing by leaps and bounds. Recently, the company's name has been approved for the HP World and in the coming month, it is going to open an exclusive HP retail showroom in Chandigarh as well.

Moreover, it has not confined the business to Chandigarh but also spreading its wings to the nearby state of Himachal Pradesh. In fact, today it is HP's biggest consumable distributor in Himachal Pradesh.

Walia pointed out, "We started our operations in the year 1989, and since then, we have emerged as the largest retailer as well as distributor in the city of Chandigarh. Today, we have the biggest retail showroom in Chandigarh carrying all types of consumable products and peripherals."

The company's sister concern, Jet Unisoft, is also doing very well. It deals with all kinds of software and especially anti-virus from all the leading brands in the country, like-Microsoft, Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Protegent, and K7 amongst others. It is also an exclusive distributor of HP printers as well as Edifier speakers in Chandigarh.
