Jalandhar-based IT Association, Jalandhar Computer Dealers' Association (JCDA)
has decided to extend the tenure of the executive body from one to two years.
While declaring the dates of election, that is scheduled to be held on March 14,
2009, the association has also appointed its election committee.
In a general body meeting held on Feb 25, 2009, members of JCDA mutually
agreed to hold elections every two years, so that the acting committee gets
enough time to spend on the development activities.
Rajiv Khanna, Spokesperson, JCDA said, “We have decided to hold election once
in two years so that the ruling body gets ample time to concentrate on taking
forward the activities of the association.”
Besides, JCDA has also appointed Manjeet Singh of Indepth Computers, Shyamal
Gupta of RS Infotech and Manish Anand of Unified Computers as members of
election committee.
According to finalized dates the last date for filing nominations is March
10, 2009 and the elections would be held on March 14, 2009. Candidates can
withdraw their names from the nomination by March 12, 2009.
