JCDA holds monthly meet, elections declared

Jalandhar Computer Dea-lers Association (JCDA) arranged its

monthly meeting at Hotel Residency in Jalandhar. In the meeting various age-ndas

were discussed. A vote of thanks was passed to the government for removing exim

forms and also to those who had contributed to make the event a success. The

asso-ciation also requested the government to avoid imple-mentation of such

forms in the future.

The managing committee also commemorated The DQ Week Delhi

for its consistent support in different events organized by JCDA. Sanjiv Khanna,

the local correspon-dent of DQ Week Jalandhar, was honored in the meeting.

In addition to this, the date for the next annual elections

of JCDA, was also decided upon. The elections are sched-uled to be held on Feb

21, 2004. The last date for filing nominations is Feb 14, 2004.

A three-member election committee comprising of Daljit Singh,

Puneet Dhir and Manish Anand. was formed. In the meeting, JCDA also produ-ced

the annual balance sheet for its members. Different aspects of the balance sheet

were discussed and the colle-ction of considerable funds by the managing

committee was considered as a matter of app-reciation in the event. The

suc-cessful launch of the center exchange by JCDA in coor-dination with ‘Connect’,

was announced to be the most interesting achievement of the committee.
