After the success of its IT Expo 2010, Jammu Computer Dealers Association (JCDA) is all set to organize the mega event, IT Expo 2011, to be held on December 16- 18, 2011, at Gupta Towers, Bahu Plaza, Jammu. JCDA wants to give maximum exposure to its members on this platform. This year, the central theme of the exhibition will be based on new generation of IT, where partners and general public will not only get to see but touch and feel new IT products like tablets, notebooks, smart phones, cloud computing and many more.
Speaking to The DQ Week, Rajeev Majotra, general secretary, JCDA said, "Looking at the overwhelming response last year, we are planning to organize the expo at a large scale with 40 stalls wherein last year we had just 30 stalls. Unlike last year, this time we are expecting a good number of sponsorship too. Hence this will be a great platform for our members and nonmembers to take part in and display new products and also interact with the masses, which is generally not possible in day-to-day business."
He further informed that approximately 25,000 people attended the expo in 2010 and there was a keen interest in the products displayed at the event. Elated by the response, JCDA is planning to organize a much bigger expo this time with more participation from vendors. "We have kept a budget of Rs 15 lakh for this 3-day long expo and are seeking Rs 5 lakh of sponsorship," said Majotra.
The association is also making use of all kinds of advertising media to create awareness about this expo, so that they receive good numbers of footfall. Majotra said, "For our members we are offering a special honor. They shall get Rs 5,000 rebate on quoted rate of stall booking. Also for the two smaller partners, we are giving 6X6 stalls at Rs 10,000 and this will be given to members by lucky draw system." The conditions are as follows- members whose annual turnover is below Rs 40 lakh are eligible to participate; winner of the stall will display multi-branded products and itshould not be sponsored; and the lucky draw will be held when all the remaining 18 stalls of 6X6 gets booked.
