Jammu association to hold election in December

Elections will be held for the post of president, VP, general secretary, organizing secretary and treasurer

Jammu Computer Dealers Association (JCDA) has decided to hold its election in the month of December. However, the election date will be made public, post the general body meeting on December 8. About 100 members of JCDA shall cast their votes to elect the new team which shall have a 2-years term. Elections will be held for the post of president, VP, general secretary, organizing secretary and treasurer.

"Earlier, the association planned to conduct the election this year, on the day of its GBM meet. Additionally, it has formed a three members team including Sanjay Langer, Sanjay Gupta and Adit Gupta as commissioners for the elections to conduct smoothly. But due to some internal reasons, we decided to go by constitution. Henceforth, we will first hold the GBM, in which, we will select our election commissioner, who will supervise the entire process of the election. Moreover, on the same day, we will re-announce the election date," said Naveen Gupta, organizing secretary, JCDA

In its first election, the contest was between two posts ie president and general secretary and rest three of the posts were declared unopposed. Similarly in previous election, fight was for the posts of president and VP and remaining 3 post were declared unopposed.

The association has announced the last date for filling nomination to be November 25, and last date for nomination withdrawal is December 1. Last date for new membership is November 25, after which no entry will be entertained for participating in elections and last date for annual fee (if pending) is also the same. Those members who does not pay annual fee before the specified date will not be able to cast his vote, according to the association.

Meanwhile, the association has also appealed to all the members of JCDA to help the elected members to conduct day to day working of JCDA in a smooth fashion, as the main concern of JCDA is to associate the members and not create gap in between.
