The latest state IT association, after UP and Rajasthan, to join the league of non-active IT bodies, is the Jammu association.
There has been no activity by the Jammu Computer Traders Association(JCTA) from the past one year, and, internal differences, is being referred to as the main reason for such a state.
The DQ Week had reported earlier too, on this issue.
Expressing his unhappiness over the condition, association member Naveen Gupta, lashed out at the members, saying, "Internal conflicts and negativity has taken priority over a proper functioning of the association. Attempts have been made to reinstate the powers of the association but in vain."
He also stated that due to some mischief mongers-who don't want the association to run the activities smoothly, even halted the election proceeding.
Gupta adds, "The association is for the benefit of the trader's community and not for politics. As a result we have lost all hope."
He cites low morale and lack of initiatives from some of the key members, as the reasons for the association becoming defunct.
However, association's former president Arvind Koul maintained that the body is not defunct but little unorganized, currently . He hoped for better results in the recent future.
