Ixia, a provider of IP network testing solutions has announced
the opening of its R&D and customer support center in Bangalore. With an
investment of Rs 45 million, the new center would further strengthen Ixia's
presence in India.

The facility would offer services for its India customers,
including sales, service, comprehensive training, and a proof-of-concept and
certification lab.

Ixia also plans to increase its presence and penetration in
verticals across the APAC region, including the carrier, enterprise and
government markets.

The company now has more than 130 engineers in India, offering
customers core R&D functions, fully equipped labs to support both pre and
post-sales

activities, including professional training and the staging of real-world
triple-play testing scenarios.

Sam Bass-Executive VP, Operations, Ixia said, "Our
offices in Bangalore and Kolkata allow us to effectively utilize the talents of
local software engineers and to support our local customers in testing and
deployment of their IP networking technology."
